An afternoon somewhere that means something to you, months before the wedding. Included with every full-day collection.
For most couples this is the first time anyone has photographed just the two of you. Not a wedding, not a family thing, not a phone at a birthday. Two people, on their own, before anything changes — which is a strange thing to have never had.
So we build it around something you already do.
A back road with nowhere to be, a kitchen too small for two people, a Sunday that never quite gets going. Not a shoot. An afternoon of your actual life. And it does the practical job too: by the time your
wedding arrives, standing in front of my camera is already familiar.

Your images, printed on fine art and bound, out on a table for people to sign. It ends up on a shelf instead of in a drawer, and you'll actually read it again — which is more than most cards manage.
It suits intimate weddings especially. When there are thirty people rather than a hundred and thirty, every message in it is from someone who really knows you.

Secret squirrel business, and honestly my favourite part of the job. I'll help you sort the timing, the light, and where to stand so the moment isn't happening with your back to it.
I can be there without being seen, and photograph you both properly straight afterwards while neither of you can stop grinning.
Give me a few weeks though. The nerves are worse
than you think and the good spots take arranging.

Editorial and styled — properly planned, properly lit — but the fun is real and the mess stays in.
We finish by early evening, so you get the whole rest of the night to yourselves.
Two hours from mid-afternoon, while everyone's getting ready for tomorrow. Nails half-done. Someone singing over a hairdryer in the bathroom. Face masks, a bubble bath, pizza and burgers on the bed because nobody wants to cook. Champagne, and cocktails somebody's made too strong.
