INTIMATE WEDDING ON STRADBROKE ISLAND

Finally, I am so happy and excited to share this small wedding under the stars on Stradbroke Island!  The wedding and Reception on the beach under the stars.  Did you know that there is nowhere else in Qld you can have your Reception actually on the beach?

It all started when I received a call from Morgan wanting to book an intimate wedding package!  Morgan and Michael came all the way from Mt Isa to celebrate their wedding. Two incredibly fun and humble people, a School Teacher and Police Officer.  Stradbroke Island was THE perfect spot for these two, so picturesque and the beauty of one spot for the whole day.  So relaxing for all the guests. A perfect scenario for such a story.

Being a wedding photographer in Queensland reminds me constantly of how lucky I am in having the chance to reach all these stunning beach locations! I meet the most amazing humans from all over.

A LOVE MADE OF LAUGHS AND PURE JOY

I had never met these two lover prior to their day, but the moment we met it was priceless.  The connection Morgan and Michael have is a unique kind of love made of the loudest laughs as well as the sweetest tears. It’s so clear, how in love they really are.  They could not take their eyes off each other. They were present in every moment!

THEY HAD SUCH AN EMOTIONAL AND FUNFILLED CEREMONY

These two amazing souls started the day enjoying some quiet time alone.  I did not photograph the morning as Morgan chose the 5 hour package starting from the Wedding, but I did pop by to meet the lovely lady and wow what a gorgeous lady.  I could see she was calm and good to go!  The ceremony was full or wonderful comic moments relived via their friends, truly involving everyone and surprising the couple with all the love around them in such a funny way.  But one of the moments that really stood out in everyone’s heart was when these two started exchanging their vows, so heartfelt, personal and real.  It was like no one else was there.  Just them and the sound of the ocean.

So, right after, we continued exploring the surrounding landscapes of the beach, rocky edges through to a spectacular beach sunset.  We climbed a few rocks to capture the best sunset we could.  Unfortunately the tide was up and we could not get right around the golden sands painted by the sun but oh they did not miss out on the imagery and moments captured! 

I stayed for a little while for reception for the first dance under sparkling lights and the cake cutting was a little extra sweet.  Michael had gone to so much trouble to have their dog created out of icing just for his bride!

Enjoy this heartfelt wedding, because we all certainly did!
