A One Tree Hill Proposal // Dan + Laken

The planned proposal by Dan….

I met Dan and Laken a few years back as they were my Cross Fit coaches and over the years Dan had secretly been talking to me about his plan, and finally it was happening! Dan phoned me a few months prior to book and plan this special day for Laken, and with Dan and Laken being friends of mine of course I put my had up!

Dan planned a trip to Maleny with Laken from Central Qld, coming down for a family event. The following day he told Laken that he was taking her shopping for a surprise couple shoot however she had no idea it was with me! Haahahahah! He was to drop her to the already booked hairdresser, then after, she had 30 mins to find a dress so off to the shops they went! Home to get dressed, make up and off they went. Laken had no Idea where …. Had no idea that behind the scenes their friends were setting up a picnic with celebratory champagne! The works! This was going to be romantic! A shoot with a sunset picnic overlooking Glasshouse!

Planning and watching this come to life is truly something I treasure to be a part of! I asked Laken to stand and look out to the sunset whilst I photographed her, with Dan behind on one knee she turned and there he was a little teary but so so happy to finally ask the question!
