I'm Carissa — photographer, planner, professional keeper of calm, lover of wild places and meaningful moments, and the human who'll probably end up carrying your flowers, fixing your veil, pinning buttonholes, keeping an eye on the weather, adjusting timelines on the fly and reminding you both to stop for a minute and take it all in.

Hi, I’m Carissa — For over 15 years, I’ve been documenting love stories across Australia and around the world, drawn to the in-between moments just as much as the epic ones. The shaky hands before vows. The deep breath before you step into the light. The way your person looks at you when nobody else is watching.

I believe elopements create space for what matters most. Space to slow down. To breathe. To be fully present with each other without the pressure, expectations or noise that can so easily surround weddings.

And while I’ll forever be obsessed with wild landscapes and windswept mountaintops, I’m equally drawn to the energy of intimate city elopements too. Neon signs reflecting on rainy streets, sneaking into old record stores, whisky bars tucked down hidden laneways, blurry headlights, subway stations, late-night pizza runs and that grainy, cinematic NYC feeling of disappearing into the city together while the world rushes around you.

Because sometimes your story looks like hiking boots and mountain air… and sometimes it looks like cocktails, leather jackets and dancing through city lights at midnight.

But beyond the imagery itself, a huge part of what I do is helping couples shape the experience from the ground up. From location scouting and timeline guidance to vendor recommendations, permits, travel ideas and all the tiny moving pieces in between, I’m there to help create a day that feels effortless, intentional and completely your own.

Whether we’re hiking through alpine trails in New Zealand, wandering windswept coastlines in Tasmania, exploring the vast Australian outback or slipping away into a quiet city corner somewhere overseas, my goal is always the same — to create imagery that feels immersive, emotional and alive.
