You will have: • Physical space to shoot • Creative space to observe • Time to ask questions
No overcrowded setups. No rushing rotations.
Weindorfers Forest Walk
Weindorfers Forest — The Proposal
Within Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park sits one of the most quietly powerful forest environments in Australia.
Myrtle beech. Moss-covered trunks. Filtered green light. Silence.
This session is about photographing intimacy in low contrast, low light, and layered texture.
Creative Focus
• Working with heavy green colour casts • Shooting in soft, diffused forest light • Story-led prompting without over-directing • Using negative space in dense environments • Depth creation through layers
This is not a styled shoot with heavy props or elaborate gowns.
This is connection in its most honest form.
What You’ll Experience
• A live couples storytelling session • Guided direction demonstrations • Time to shoot independently • Conversation around composition, pacing, and restraint • Environmental awareness in national park settings
You will photograph real movement, real pauses, real emotion.
Not manufactured moments.
This Is For You If
• You want to strengthen storytelling over posing • You struggle in flat or overcast light • You want to refine colour discipline in green environments • You crave quieter imagery • You value environmental integrity
The Tasmania Difference
Tasmania strips away excess.

Tasmania is not dramatic in the loud sense. It is dramatic in the quiet sense.
It asks for patience. For observation. For restraint.
This series is designed for photographers who want to refine their storytelling in landscapes that demand subtlety.
Two sessions. Two completely different energies.
Cradle Mountain — Dove Lake Elopement
At the base of Cradle Mountain lies Dove Lake — alpine, expansive, and unpredictable.
This is a completely different creative challenge.
Wind. Water. Open space. Fast-moving light.
Creative Focus
• Photographing scale without losing intimacy • Composing in wide, open alpine environments • Balancing landscape and human presence • Working with wind and shifting weather • Directing elopement energy without overpowering it
You’ll witness a real elopement narrative unfold — from quiet preparation to ceremony moments to post-ceremony movement along the lake.
What You’ll Experience
• A live elopement storytelling session • Guidance on timeline shaping for light • Shooting during transitional light (sunrise or late afternoon) • Environmental positioning within national park boundaries • Intentional pacing and flow
This is about learning how to hold space in expansive terrain.
Important Environmental Notes
Both sessions take place within protected areas of Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park.
This means:
• We remain on marked paths and boardwalks • No off-track exploration • No environmental manipulation • Leave No Trace principles strictly followed • Weather contingency planning is essential
Tasmanian alpine weather shifts rapidly. Mist and rain are not “backup plans” — they are part of the creative landscape.
Who This Is Not For
• Photographers seeking heavily styled editorial setups • Those wanting guaranteed golden light • Those uncomfortable in cold or shifting weather • Anyone unwilling to prioritise environmental respect

A little update — and a tough one to share.
I’ve made the decision to defer the Tasmania workshop for now due to the current uncertainty around travel, fuel, and rising flight costs.
This isn’t cancelled — just paused, with new dates to be announced soon.
I’m honestly really sad, as I’ve been so looking forward to this… but it feels like the right call.
I’ll still be heading over myself to explore, hike, and soak in all that Tasmania has to offer.
