[ WHY HERE ]
This is where the small weddings happen. Not two people on a clifftop — twenty of them at a long table, in a paddock, under a tree that was there long before any of you.
It's farmland and rainforest and mountains you can see the shape of. It's cooler than the coast, greener for longer, and everything you'll eat that day was probably grown within an hour of where
There are corners of this coast I'm still working through. If you've got a place that means something, tell me — I'd rather photograph that than another headland.
TELL ME WHERE
Old bones, big trees, and lawn that goes on. The kind of property that doesn't need decorating.
AFTERNOON · BOOK EARLY
Paddocks, sheds, dams, a long table under something. Some of my favourite days have happened on land belonging to somebody's uncle.
ANY SEASON · ASK ME
Twenty minutes up a winding road and it's five degrees cooler, greener, and quieter. Palm groves, small vineyards, and lookouts where you can watch the coast light up after dark.
MORNING FOR THE FALLS · SUNSET FOR THE VIEW
Boonah, Kalbar, the country out past Aratula. Mt Barney and the Main Range sitting on the horizon, farmland running right up to the base of them, and dams that go still at first light. Fewer venues out here, more sky.
SUNRISE · REMOTE · BRING A CAR
Rows running away from you in every direction and a smell that gets into everything. Peaks in late spring, which is worth planning around
LATE SPRING · GOLDEN HOUR
There's a lot of this region I'm still working through. If you've got a paddock, a shed, a view, or a place that already means something to you — tell me. I'd rather photograph that.

[ the important details ]
The mountain sits in cloud when the coast is clear, and it's genuinely several degrees colder. That's usually a gift — soft light all day, no squinting — but tell your people to bring something warm.
Most properties here handle their own permissions, so there's less paperwork than the national parks. What there is, I'll sort.
The drive matters. Guests coming up from the coast need longer than the map says, and the last stretch is winding. I build that into the timeline so nobody arrives flustered.
